Memo to Community: Withdrawal of Services on February 6 & 7 2020

NOTICE TO COMMUNITY RESIDENTS MINISTIK SCHOOL TO CLOSE ON FEBRUARY 6 & 7

DUE TO ETFO WITHDRAWAL OF INSTRUCTION & SERVICES

This memo is to provide the community with notice that the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) has announced that its members (teachers) will conduct another Complete Withdrawal of Instruction and Services by ETFO on Thursday February 6, 2020 & Friday, February 7, 2020.  The withdrawal of services on Thursday, February 6 is a province wide strike day, and Friday, February 7 is a rotating strike day in school boards across Ontario including Moose Factory Island District School Area Board.  This withdrawal of services of ETFO members means that all teachers will be on strike and therefore we will have to close the school to students on these days.

Ministik school will re-open on Monday, February 10, 2020.  While we understand this is a challenging time, parents will be required to make alternate arrangements for their children.
