Ministik Parents, Caregivers and families are welcome to attend the first meeting of the Moose Factory School Council - Thursday September 26 @ 6pm in the library. The election of chair will take place during this meeting.
Q. What does the School Council do?
A. We work together to encourage and create opportunites for parents & caregivers to be involved in their children's education.
Q. Why?
A. Because we know that student acheivement and well-being improve the more parents & caregivers are involved in the school!
The parent & caregiver members of the School Council work with the school principal and teacher and school staff representatives.
Q. What about the Parent Involvement Committee (PIC)?
A. The PIC is a similar but different committee that addresses parent engagement, student acheivement and well-being at the board level, usually through board policies and procedures. The parent & caregiver members of the PIC work with the Supervisory Officer and a Board of Trustees representative.
Q. Will there be a call out for the PIC?
A. Yes, there will likely be more information about being involved in the PIC in late October.

We hope to see you there on Thursday September 26 💚
