Topic or focus of the activities: Welcome to Ministik: orientation, reflection, setting the learning journey direction (well-being, literacy, numeracy, curriculum connections, educator capacity & communication)
Learning and delivery methods: Whole and small group discussions, individual reflections, workshops, guest presenter: Usha James TC2, staff facilitators: principal, VPs, mental health & well-being lead, school well-being counsellor, early years & experiential learning consultant, mathematics learning consultant,
Content: Ministik Educators will be led through group discussions and self-reflections on the following topics: orientation, student & staff wellness strategies, Ministik Staff Handbook, building rapport with students & families, communicating with colleagues, problem-based learning planning. While teachers and ECEs will spend the remaining time in self-directed learning in their classrooms, EAs will participate in capacity building workshops focused more on their students’ individual needs and the team approach to support.

Topic or focus of the activities: student well-being strategies, intro to the new language curriculum: early reading, universal design & screening, intro to mathematics problem based learning planning: curriculum map, high impact strategies, & learning together,
Learning and delivery methods: Whole and small group discussions, individual reflections, workshops, staff facilitators: principal, VPs, mental health & well-being lead, school well-being counsellor, early years & experiential learning consultant, mathematics learning consultant
Content: Ministik Educators will be led in whole group learning on the development of our school’s mathematics problem based learning plan. Two break out groups will explore our new literacy curriculum and student well-being and safety strategies. In the afternoon, teams of educators will begin the initial stages of working on our mathematics learning plan.

Content: Ministik Educators will be led through hands-on learning activities, group discussions and self-reflections on the following topics: 1. technology workshop: using our tools to help keep students safe, secure and learning; 2. wellness workshop: social-emotional learning for ourselves & students – tools supporting self and co-regulation; 3. literacy instruction & assessment workshop: using assessment tools and models to inform instructional choices; 4. connecting curriculum to learning on the land workshop; 5. curriculum mapping workshop: co-creating our school’s integrated curriculum map – Language, Math, H&PE, Arts
